Dear Friends,

Welcome to The Davidson Academy of Nevada’s website.

From idea to implementation, it has been an exciting journey to develop this new type of school for profoundly gifted students.

Students at The Davidson Academy enjoy the opportunity to learn in an academically rigorous educational environment. Limitations based on age and grade level are no longer of concern as students actively participate in courses and activities designed to challenge them to the best of their abilities across subject areas. This challenge can include attending courses offered by the University of Nevada, Reno.

In 2007-2008, Academy students took more than 60 courses at the University of Nevada, Reno while we offered 32 Academy courses. Each year, we expand the Academy course catalog to offer a number of new options based on student interests and needs.

In addition to their academic abilities, many students also spend time developing a wide array of talents by accessing clubs, mentorships, teams and community activities. It is rewarding to interact with such a diverse and talented student population on a daily basis.
