Tuition

Students huddled in front of lockersFor residents of Nevada, there is no tuition associated with attending the Davidson Academy.

The costs of courses and textbooks are covered through a combination of public and private funding. University of Nevada, Reno courses that are being used to fulfill Davidson Academy Reno graduation requirements are also covered at no additional costs to students. Some Davidson Academy classes, extracurricular activities, and clubs may occasionally have a small fee that is the student’s responsibility to cover.

If an Academy student wishes to take a University course outside of their graduation requirements, they will be responsible for the tuition and other expenses associated with the class. They are charged the in-state, per-credit tuition rate. A need-based scholarship fund is available through the Davidson Academy so that students can apply for assistance for the costs incurred when enrolling in University classes beyond those that apply towards Davidson Academy graduation requirements. Email applications@www.davidsonacademy.unr.edu with questions.

The Davidson Academy is not able to issue forms 1098-T for tuition. The 1098-T form is issued for tuition, fees, and course materials required for a student enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an eligible educational institution. An eligible educational institution is a college, university, vocational school, or other postsecondary educational institution. Unfortunately, the Davidson Academy, as a public school serving students in grades 6-12, is not an eligible institution. Please keep in mind that the Davidson Academy cannot and does not issue tax advice; please contact your tax advisor for further consultation.
