Student Events

Students are able to enjoy a variety of events during the school year that build community, connections, and promote school spirit. Most events are designed by students for students. Events provide students with balance from academics and the opportunity to engage with peers outside of the classroom.

Examples of Davidson Academy Reno Events:

  • Lock-In: All students are invited to play games, sing karaoke, and eat pizza until 11pm. Students over 13 can stay overnight on campus until 7am.
  • Fall Festival: The main fundraiser for student clubs. Clubs host a carnival booth with all proceeds benefitting their yearly activities.
  • Thanksgiving Potluck: The day before Thanksgiving break, students are invited to bring a dish to share at lunch with fellow students, staff, teachers, and alumni.

Davidson Academy Reno also hosts spirit weeks, dances, talent shows, art and movie nights, and plays. Together, they celebrate Pi(e) Day with a Pi reciting contest and other fun Pi(e) related activities.
