DA Student Launches New Science Fair to Inspire Young Innovators

Dana

Davidson Academy student Dana Schrock has taken a leading role in founding the inaugural SciVenture Science Fair & Expo, a new STEM-focused event created to showcase the creativity and innovation of middle and high school students across Northern Nevada.

Collaborating with students from other local high schools, Dana helped establish SciVenture to provide a platform for young scientists to present their research and science-related projects. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, at the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum.

Participants will receive free admission to the museum, gain valuable experience to include on future applications, and have the opportunity to compete for recognition and fun prizes. Although this year’s fair will primarily serve as an exposition, select projects will still be acknowledged for their excellence.
