The Davidson Academy Science Bowl Team A earned an exciting victory last weekend, winning the 2025 Berkeley Science Bowl on the UC Berkeley campus. The event brought together 48 teams from across the nation for 10 rounds of challenging STEM competition. This win marks the first time a Davidson Academy team has secured a Science Bowl invitational title.

Team members Lucas W., Alexander W., Julian K., Yajur C., and Filip R. showcased impressive knowledge and teamwork throughout the tournament. In addition to the team’s success, Alexander W. received the Top Earth and Space Science Player Award, an outstanding individual recognition.

A shout-out also goes to Team B—Shayan S., Ethan C., Kaison F., Casey F., and Bourne Z.—who competed in a tough division and delivered a strong performance in the Swiss-style bracket.

Congratulations to both teams and their coach for their effort, preparation, and commitment to STEM excellence.
