Davidson Academy student Ethan Chan recently earned top honors at the Nevada State Scholastic Chess Championships, winning the High School Division on April 25.
With the victory, Ethan will go on to represent Nevada at the 2026 Arnold Denker Tournament of High School State Champions, taking place August 3–6 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The national tournament brings together top high school players from across the country to compete at a high level.
