Davidson Academy Student Christopher Bao earned the Gold Award in the 2025 United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), one of the nation’s most selective and challenging math competitions for high school students.
Christopher’s outstanding performance placed him in the top 6% of all qualifying students, an exceptional achievement that reflects his deep understanding of mathematical proofs and advanced problem-solving skills.
The USAMO is open only to the top scorers on the AMC 12 and the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination), making this honor one of the highest distinctions in high school mathematics.
