Enriching Education, Fostering Community

Davidson Academy's Campus is a unique environment, bringing together students from all over the country to be a part of a community of intellectual peers. Many have spent years in school feeling isolated, different from others, always having to push themselves academically on their own. At Davidson, students find their group—other kids as gifted, motivated, and excited to learn as they are, no matter their age.

SAMPLE CLASS SCHEDULE

Student schedules are designed around the unique needs of gifted learners. Classes are small, with an average of ten students, to promote personalized learning and attention. The daily schedule includes six periods and lunch, with a 5-minute break between each class.

Core classes meet Monday through Thursday. Most elective classes are offered as two-hour blocks on Friday, although there are some electives offered Monday through Thursday. In addition, nearly every student has an hour-long study hall block each day to work independently or meet with teachers and peer tutors. Students are also able to get editing assistance from highly-qualified peers in the Writing Center.
