Davidson Academy Robotics Team Awarded NASA RAP Grant

The Ionizers

Huge congratulations to The Ionizers, Reno’s very own FRC Team 10903, on securing the $6,300 NASA Robotics Alliance Project Grant!

This prestigious NASA grant will enable The Ionizers to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition and build a fully functional 120-pound robot in six weeks – bringing transformative, hands-on engineering experience to students from seven schools across northern Nevada.

Team finance lead Shruthi Inamdar is deeply grateful to The Ionizers’ teammates and mentors for this opportunity, and for their trust and support through every step of this journey. As the largest contingent of the robotics team, the Davidson Academy students are proud to join forces with teammates from across northern Nevada as they gear up for the upcoming build season. This collaboration reflects The Ionizers’ commitment to excellence, innovation, and community-driven STEM leadership.

The Ionizers are incredibly grateful to their mentors for their unwavering guidance and support through team building, robot development, outreach initiatives, and every grant application along the way. Thank you for being their launchpads, boosters, and mission control.

Here’s to aiming high, reaching for the stars, and maybe even bending the laws of physics along the way.
