The Davidson Academy had three different Science Olympiad teams compete at the Nevada Science Olympiad Tournament in Las Vegas. Team B (middle school division) placed first and will be traveling to Wichita, Kansas in May to compete at nationals. This is the first time in Davidson Academy history a team will be traveling to the Science Olympiad National Tournament.
In the high school division (C division), team C1 finished in second place by just a margin of points. This ties for the highest placement a team from the Davidson Academy has finished at the state level in the C division. The C2 team had a strong showing as well with many students placing top three in various events.
In all, academy students took home the gold in 23 events.
